Albert E. DeFreese age 88, of Jonesboro, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2015. He was a member Jonesboro First United Methodist Church and was retired from IBM. He is survived by wife: Betty DeFreese of Jonesboro, daughter: Mary Miller of Decatur, daughter: Diane (Steve) Coggin of Salisburg, NC, grandchildren: Tommy Coggin, David Coggin, Melissa (Zac) Mabry, great grandchildren: Christopher Walton, Madison Walton, Hailey Walton, and Kirsten Ragan. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Friday, September 25, 2015 in the Chapel of Ford Stewart Funeral Home. The Rev. Dr. George Freeman will officiate. Burial to follow at Sherwood Memorial Park, Jonesboro. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM, Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Ford Stewart Funeral Home.
