Mrs. Alta Lee Hendon, age 86, passed away, September 16, 2012. She was a resident of Clayton County since 1965. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Jonesboro. She retired from Sears Roebuck Company and Georgia Department of Labor. She is survived by her daughter and son in law; Faye H. and Robert H. Doyle of Waleska, sister; Christine Sorrells of Dallas, grandchild; Duane Estes of Hampton. A memorial service will be held, Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 12 Noon at the chapel of First Baptist Church of Jonesboro. Rev. Irvin Pearre will officiate.
