Amanda "Sue" Jester age 80 of Jonesboro, GA passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2016. Mrs. Jester was a member of Trinity United Church. She was also a member of the Red Hats and Kiwanis Club. She volunteered with the American Red Cross and The Shelnutt Senior Center where she especially loved to drive the bus on the gambling trips. She loved to fish, garden, and watch college football and softball. She enjoyed to travel and loved people. She was preceded in death by husband: Harold Jester and grandson: Jacob Allen Butler. She is survived by children: Arvid Yorkman of Locust Grove, Debbie Sorrow (Curtis) of Jonesboro, Pam Moore (Jimmy) of Stockbridge, Candy Baczkowski (David) of Peachtree City, Amanda Moran of Fenton, MI, Sally Dixon (Dan) of Alpharetta, and Robin Smith (Bart) of Colbert; 17 Grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Saturday January 9, 2016 in the Chapel of Ford Stewart Funeral Home with Rev. Floyd Carmack officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Friday, January 8, 2016 at the funeral home and on Saturday 1 hour prior to the service.
