Ms. Anderlyn L. Ashby age 76 of Jonesboro passed away March 15, 2022. Ms. Ashby served in the US Air Force, the US Navy and retired from the US Army with the rank of Staff Sergeant,  She served in Europe as well as the continental United States. While stationed in Ohio, Ms Ashby was a Reserve Recruiter and was in the Army Reserve Unit in Chamblee, GA. She was a member of the Women of the Military and the Delta Sigma Cheta and was baptized at Icioum Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter: Marletta Ashby (Trey Meyers) of Stone Mountain, sisters: Laura Colbertt and Gwendolyn Usher, grandchildren: Nevia Sumpters, Tony Goss, Torrance Goss and Torie Meyers, great-grandchildren: Jaydon Childes and Anya Childs, sister and best friend: Mary Ann Isom, nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 12 p.m. Friday, March 25, 2022 at the Chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Chestnut Hill Cemetery in Atlanta. The family will receive friends 1 p.m. - 6 p.m. Thursday, March 24, 2022 at the funeral home.
