Mr. Arnold William "Billy" Hartness, age 72 of Jonesboro passed away December 18, 2021. Mr. Hartness served in the U. S. Marines, receiving two Purple Hearts and was a member of VFW Post #6330 Jonesboro. He was preceded in death by his parents: Carl Robert and Helen Lucille Hartness, brother: David Hartness, sisters: Linda Sheets and Sandy Souther and sister-in-law: Janice Hartness. He is survived by his daughters: Lisa M. (Issac) Huska of Jefferson, GA and Kelly M. Hartness of Jonesboro, brother: Jerry Hartness of Hampton, sister-in-law: Valerie Hartness of Locust Grove, grandchildren: Nathan Huska, Wyatt Huska, Bailee Kinman and Sophia Slack, niece: Terry Collins of Griffin, mother of his children: Diane Hartness and many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Funeral Services will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at the Chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Hartness officiating. The family will receive friends 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at the funeral home.
