Mrs. Audrey (McAllister) Steele, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother was born in Big Springs, TN on November 26, 1936 to the late Dorothy and Audie Lee McAllister. The McAllister family moved to Georgia in 1948, where Audrey attended Jonesboro High School. She was a member of the Congregational Holiness Church. There, she met her husband of 62 years, Mr. James "Jim" Steele. The eldest of nine children, Audrey was preceded in death by siblings: Wilma, Donald, Robbie, Mike and Pete. Audrey passed away on November 3, 2017. She is survived by her husband: Jim, children: Joe, Anita, Jennifer and Angie, siblings: Al, MaeBell and Nikki, grandchildren: Amanda, Heather, Amber, Michael, Christopher, Justin and Andrew, great-grandchildren: Miley, Lauren, Micah, Peyton, Malachi and Matthew, as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at the Chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Colburn officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at the funeral home.
