Mrs. Ava L. Shockley, age 97 of Blairsville, formerly of Ellenwood passed away November 7th, 2021.  Mrs. Shockley was one of the oldest members of The Rock Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her son: Jerry Shockley; grandson: Joshua Shockley, and 4 brothers and 3 sisters.  She is survived by her children: Linda Shockley and Rusty (Ann) Shockley all of Blairsville; brother: Zack Lyle of Lawrenceville; grandchildren: Nicholas Shockley, Mary Shockley, and Matthew (Naiomi) Shockley; great grandchildren: Gracie Shockley, Elijah Shockley, Rowan Shockley, Tucker Shockley, and Harper Goss; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.  A funeral service will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, November 11, 2021 in the Chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Foster officiating. Burial will follow at The Rock Baptist Church Cemetery in Rex, GA.  The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM, Wednesday, November 10th, 2021 at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, www.stjude.org or The Rock Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, P.O.
