Dr. Benjamin Allen Taylor Sr., age 82, of Jonesboro, GA, passed away, August 4, 2013. He was born on February 8, 1931 in Macon GA. He Graduated from Mercer University in 1952. He graduated from Dental School at Emory University in 1956. He was a Dentist in the Army from 1956-1958. He was the founder and owner of Family Dentistry in Jonesboro which opened in 1958. He retired on January 1, 2013. He joined First Baptist Church Jonesboro on April 20, 1958. He is survived by his wife; Anita Taylor of Jonesboro, sons; Steven K. (Sara) Taylor of Hampton, Ronald K. (Michele) Taylor of McDonough, Benjamin "Allen" (Laurie) Taylor Jr. of McDonough, Gregory "Clay" (Julie) Taylor of McDonough, sister; Kathryn Clapp of Memphis TN, grandchildren; Benjamin James Taylor, Keri Haire, David DeCesare, Matt Taylor, Macy Taylor, Caylin Gilbert, Greg Taylor, Tiffany Taylor, Meagan Taylor. Funeral services will be held, Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at 11 AM in the First Baptist Church of Jonesboro Chapel. Interment will be at Sherwood Memorial Park in Jonesboro, GA. Rev. Irvin Pearre and Rev. L. Floyd Carmack will officiate. Family will receive friends on Tuesday August 6, 2013 from 6-8 PM at the Funeral Home.
