Mrs. Bertha Irene Palmer, age 91, of Locust Grove, passed away, April 9, 2012. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Jonesboro and in their Saints Alive Group. In recent years she went to Locust Grove First Baptist Church where she attended the Jolly Elders Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her husband; Paul James Palmer. She is survived by her daughter and son in law; Margaret and Johnny Jackson of Locust Grove, grandchildren; Angelia O'keefe, Johnny Eugene Jackson, Jr., James Paul Jackson, 9 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held, Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at 11 AM in the chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home. Rev. Hinton Harris and Rev. Irvin Pearre will officiate. Interment will be at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
