Mrs. Bessie Carol (Eldridge) Cain age 87 of McDonough, went to be with our Heavenly Father and Lord Jesus on June 6, 2016 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's and several types of Cancer. She was born to Edward Elson Eldridge and Iva Lee Brown on January 27th, 1929 in Sewanee Tennessee and she was the 7th of 10 siblings. Bessie graduated from Grundy High School in Tennessee in 1946 and Draughons Business College, Nashville in 1947. She attended the University of Chicago and lived in Illinois for a brief period of time until she moved to California. She met Jessie Roy Cain from California and they were married on June 6, 1959 in Nevada. After being a wife and mother, she worked for several departments with the State of Florida until she retired. She was also a member of Azalea United Methodist Church in Orlando, FL. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, sisters and brothers: Anna Elizabeth Hart, Edna Thomas, Colonel William W. Eldridge, John A. Eldridge, Mouzon "Al" Eldridge, Virginia Bright, Iva Lee Pardo, Martha Wright Oller, Edward Henry Eldridge (Barbara); former husband: Jessie Roy Cain; and grandson: Jonathan Ray Cain. She is survived by son: Paul Eldridge Cain (Kathy) of McDonough; daughter: Lori Lynn Ottofy (Steve) of Douglasville; son: Mark Andrew Cain of Love Joy; 4 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Friday, June 10, 2016 in the Chapel of Ford Stewart Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Camp Memorial Park in Fayetteville.
