In Loving Memory of Betty Carrin

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Betty Carrin, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, who peacefully departed from this world on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at the age of 96, surrounded by the comfort of her residence.

Betty's journey began in Allentown, PA, and she found her home in Florida, before settling in Georgia, where she cultivated a life filled with love, joy, and cherished memories. One of Betty's fondest memories was her time marching in the band during the Orange Bowl parade in high school. This experience instilled in her a lifelong appreciation for music and camaraderie. As a faithful member of Lovejoy Family Church of the Nazarene, Betty shared her passion for spirituality by teaching Sunday School for many years, touching the lives of countless individuals with her wisdom and grace.

Betty possessed a wanderlust spirit and found immense joy in traveling the world and opening her home as a gracious hostess to family and friends. An unwavering fan of the Atlanta Braves, she cheered on her beloved team with fervor, bringing excitement and enthusiasm to every game.

Betty is survived by her loving son, Clifford Carrin, and his wife, Cindy; daughter-in-law, Reva Carrin; grandchildren, Jennifer Campbell (Wes), Melanie Jessel (Justin), Stephanie Carrin, Christopher Carrin, Brandon Carrin (Jessica), and Ashley Thomas (Daniel); great-grandchildren, James Carrin (Christine), Aaron Campbell, Anne Campbell, Aiden Carrin, Emorie Carrin, Ilan Carrin, and Abigail Thomas; nephews, Mark and Steven McGowan; her faithful little companion "Buddy" the cat.

She is preceded in death by her devoted husband of over 60 years, Emory Van Carrin, and her son, William Van Carrin.

A Funeral Service honoring Betty's life will be held in the chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at 11 AM, with Rev. Randy Young officiating. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will be available to receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, April 29, 2024, from 6-8 PM.

Flowers are accepted or contributions in Betty's memory may be made to Royal Family Kids Camp, 290 Marion Blvd., Fayetteville, GA 30215, a cause dear to her heart.
