Mrs. Betty Ruth Deese, age 77, of Hampton, passed away on November 17, 2018. Mrs. Deese was a homemaker, Sunday School Teacher, counselor, choir director, youth director, discipleship teacher and an anointed prayer warrior.  Betty's prayer cloth ministry was known across the nation. She spent her entire life leading people to Jesus! She had the honor of cooking for Vice President Dick Cheney.  She made yearly trips to the children's home in Sevierville, Tennessee taking orphans goodies.  She was the President of Ladies Ministry. She was a devout member of The Studio Gathering where everyone there admired her leadership and kindness.  She was the best wife, mother and memaw to her family. Mrs. Deese was preceded in death by her husband, Jason Howard Deese and daughter, Teresa Deese. She is survived by her children, Diane (Leland) Gore of Hampton, Debra (Butch) Payne of Warner Robins; siblings, Jean Lambert of SC, Ginger (Lewis) Ethridge of Waleska, Jerry (Doris) Connell of FL and Jimmy Connell of Cartersville; grandchildren, Jason Whittington, Jared Gore, Stephanie (Levar) Stevenson, Sara (Neil) Jones, Billy (Sandy) Gore; great grandchildren, Jada, Eli, Cayman, Aria and Mya.   A Funeral Service will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, November 24, 2018 in the Chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home with Dr. Jerry Lambert and Rev. Jake Dukes officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home the day of the service from 11 AM to 1 PM. Interment will be at Westminster Memorial Gardens in Peachtree City, GA.
