Mrs. Betty J. Johnston, age 89 of Lawrenceville passed away April 18, 2021. Mrs. Johnston was preceded in death by her husband: Robert Leonard Johnston, parents: James and Margaret Puckett, sons: Robert Johnston and Ricky Johnston, grandson: Gary Henrichs, great-grandson: Blain Mann, son-in-law: Larry Beard, brothers: Robert Puckett and Richard Puckett, sisters: Sarah Harrison, Dorothy Luther, Linda Slaughter and Rosemary Freeman. She is survived by her daughters: Connie  (Render) Story of Lawrenceville and Sheila Beard of Jonesboro, daughter-in-law: Lisa Johnston, sisters: Jeanette Lindsey of Morrow and Patricia Thompson of Griffin, grandchildren: Tracy Story, Melissa (Sean) Mann, Samantha Beard and Tasha (Shawn) Morris, great-grandchildren: Nathan Mann, Alyssa Mann, Roger Heathers, Sydney Price, Katherine Story, Dorian Story and Alyssa Morris, 7 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 24, 2021 at the Chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home with Tina Smith and Cynthia Clavon officiating. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 1 p.m.- 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
