Mrs. Betty Reddin Smith, age, 82, of Ellenwood, passed away on June 22, 2015. She retired from the Clayton County Board of Education. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Smith Skelton. Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, Willis Smith, Jr.; son and daughter-in-law, Willis C. (Karen) Smith, III; son-in-law, Eddie Skelton; grandchildren, Eli (Ashley) Skelton, Micah (Megan) Skelton, Kara (Chris) Collier, Courtney Smith, Andrew Smith; great grandchildren, Noah Skelton, Cailey Skelton, Reagan Skelton, Shaeleigh Skelton and a nephew, Melvin Reddin. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at First Baptist Church of Jonesboro Chapel. She will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2-5 PM on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at the funeral home.
