Mrs. Betty Lou Waldrop Gay age 87 of Jonesboro passed away August 18, 2022. Mrs. Gay was a member of First Christian Church of Jonesboro.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Malley Lee Gay, Jr., sister, Juanita Key, great grandson, George Stone and grandson-in-law, Jeff Jakes  She is survived by her children: Bonnie Lee (Joe) Stone of Sharpsburg, David Michael (Carol) Gay of Tyrone, and Kathy Lynn (John) Curl of Sharpsburg; sister: Helen White of Robertsdale, AL; grandchildren: Stacie Jakes, Andrew Stone, Daniel Stone, Candace Stone, Chelsea Sachs, Callie Armstrong, Cameron Coffman, and Caleb Gay and Jon Michael Curl; great grandchildren: Joseph Jakes, Emma Jakes, Malley Stone, Elle Stone, Shai Armstrong, Levi Armstrong, Kate Sachs, Jacob Sachs, Tyler Hartmann, Pippin Coffman, Mira Coffman and Luke Gay; many nieces, nephews.  Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at First Christian Church of Jonesboro with Pastor Wade Hall officiating.  The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM, Monday, August 22, 2022 at Ford-Stewart Funeral Home and 1 hour prior to the service at the church.  Interment will be at Camp Memorial Park.
