Mr. Bobby Ray Gardner age 72 of Jonesboro passed away October 2, 2022. Mr. Gardner served in the U.S. Army and was a member of First Baptist Church of Jonesboro. He was preceded in death by his son: Johnny Ray Gardner and his parents: James Robert and Ellene Violet Gardner.  He is survived by his wife: Rebecca Gardner; daughter-in-law: Carrie Gardner of Independence, MO; step-sons: Billy (Selena) Jones of Griffin and John (Michelle) Jones of Stockbridge; brothers: Jerry (Patty) Gardner of Locust Grove, Tommy (Debbie) Gardner of McDonough, and Danny Gardner of Forest Park; brother-in-law: Bob (Annette) Boyd of Lawrenceville; sister-in-law: Lucy (Johnny) Clark of Jonesboro; grandchildren: Dane Gardner, Eli Gardner, Wesley Jones, Alexis Jones (Blake) Pillsbury, Claire Jones, and Camille Jones; great grandchild: Kayce Pillsbury; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.  A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 15, 2022 in the Chapel of First Baptist Church of Jonesboro with Rev. Allen Davis and Mr. Toby Phillips officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the church.  In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to First Baptist Church Jonesboro, P.O. Box 773 Jonesboro, GA 30237 in memory of Mr. Bobby Ray Gardner.
