Dr. Byron P. Price, age 71, of Jonesboro, passed away, November 7, 2012. He was born on January 10, 1941 in Mansfield, LA. He graduated from LSU in 1963 and Loyola University of New Orleans Dental School in 1967. He served in the United States Public Health Service in Atlanta from 1967-1969. He opened his dental practice in College Park, GA in 1969 and moved the practice to Stockbridge, GA in 1999. He retired in 2010. He was a member of Georgia Dental Association and American Dental Association. He was preceded in death by his parents; Leon and Elnora Price and a brother; Gene Price. He is survived by his wife, Jenny, and a nephew; Jamie Price. Funeral services will be held, Sunday, November 11, 2012, at 2 PM in the chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home. Rev. Clayton Hampton will officiate. Interment will be at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 10, 2012 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
