Mr. Carl Edward Cook, age 57 of Jonesboro passed away August 17, 2022 with his family by his side. Mr. Cook was retired from the Clayton County Police Department with 31 years of service where he was a Detective with the Crime Scene Investigations Unit, a member of the Riverdale Masonic Lodge, the Georgia IAI and the Disaster Morticians Group (DMORT). He was preceded in death by his parents: Willard and Beverly Cook, grandparents: Nora and Cecil Fisher and Henry and Marie Cook and his brother: Wayne Cook.  He is survived by his Fur Baby, Mr. Midnight, sisters: Beth (Eric) Graf of McDonough and Linda (James) Kasbarian of Maybrook, NY, nieces and nephews: Jason Graf, Jessica (Justin) Buck, Andrew Kasbarian and Dana Kasbarian, great-niece: Maddie Buck, great-nephew: Jackson Buck and one on the way. A Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, August 27, 2022 at the Chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home with Chaplain Gerry Anderson officiating, The family will receive friends 2 p.m. - 3 p.m., prior to the service.
