Mr. Carl Richard Smith, age 90 of Jonesboro passed away July 15, 2022. Mr. Smith was a retired Air Traffic Controller with the Federal Aviation Administration, Hampton Center. He was preceded in death by his parents: General Lee and Essie Mae (Singleton) Smith and his brothers and sisters: Walt Smith, James Smith, Violet Brown, Dillard Smith, Bud Smith, Frank Smith, Fred Smith, Pauline Hill, Gene Smith, Evelyn Little and Janie Nell Vincent. He is survived by his wife: Diane Smith, daughters: Carla Evans of Marietta and Deborah Howell of Panama City Beach, FL, son: Eric Smith of McDonough, grandchildren: Alex Howell, Abby Howell, Jake Evans, Connor Evans and Londyn Smith. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at the Chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. Monday, July 18, 2022 at the funeral home.
