Mrs. Caroline Rosser, Age 76, passed away at Piedmont Henry County Hospital in Stockbridge, Georgia on Saturday, March 12, 2016 surrounded by her family. Mrs. Rosser was a member of the Lake Spivey Rotary Club from 2007-2016 and had taught part-time at Griffin Technical College in Griffin, Georgia for a short time after moving to Georgia in 2004. Prior to moving to Georgia, Mrs. Rosser was the Director of the Workshop on Wheels at Central Missouri State University for 14 years and for five years at Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Mrs. Rosser earned a B.S. in Education from Wilmington College, Wilmington, Ohio and a Master's in Education from Southeast Missouri State University, Cape Girardeau, Missouri. In addition to serving as a professor and Director of the Workshop on Wheels at Central Missouri State University and Southeast Missouri State University; Mrs. Rosser received many awards including the Friend of Children Award from ALPA; the Missouri Distinguished Community Education Service Award from the Adult and Community Education Conference; the Early Childhood and Parent Education Distinguished Service Award from the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education; and the Distinguished Educator Award as the Director of the Workshop on Wheels from the Missouri House of Representatives. Caroline Rosser is survived by her son, Art Rosser and his wife, Robin Hollis of Avondale Estates, Georgia; her daughter, Kirsten and her husband, William Glidden, and the her granddaughter and light of her life, Sophie Grace of Ellerslie, Georgia. She is also survived by her sister, Sandra and her husband Donald Fender of Milford, Ohio; her sister, Joyce and her husband Gary Wilson of Gainesville, Florida; and brother, Bruce and his wife, Sue Spang of Toledo, Ohio and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur "Art" Rosser, her mother, Jeanette Spang and father, Edward Spang. Visitation will be at Ford - Stewart Funeral Home, 2047 Highway 138 S.E., Jonesboro, Georgia on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. A memorial service will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Jonesboro located at 147 South Main Street, Jonesboro, Georgia on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at 11:00 am with Dr. George Freeman officiating.
