Mrs. Carolyn V. Cobb, age 81 of McDonough passed away March 12, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband: James E. Cobb and parents: Guy B. and Susie Tanner. Surviving are her daughter: Karol Sherling and husband Mark of McDonough, brother: Kenneth Tanner and wife Janet of Hampton, sister: Linda Corbett of Jackson, grandchildren: Andrew Sherling, Yaroslav Sherling, Madeline Sherling and Alyssa Sherling, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 17, 2018 at First Baptist Church Jonesboro Worship Center with Rev. Larry Thomas and Rev. Irvin Pearre officiating. She will lie in state from 1-2 p.m. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 6 - 8 p.m. Friday, March 16 at the funeral home.
