Ms. Carolyn Sigrid Robinson died peacefully at Jonesboro Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on August 15, 2017, in Jonesboro, GA at the age of 80. Carolyn is survived by her children, Marsha (Andrew) Jackson of Jonesboro, GA, Barry Robinson of Philadelphia, PA, Michael Robinson of Jonesboro, GA, Kim Moses of Marietta, GA, and Brian Robinson of Richmond, VA; grandchildren, Dionne Jennings of Chattanooga, TN, Ericka Robinson of Philadelphia, PA, Kalia Moses of Marietta, GA, Omar Jackson of Philadelphia, PA, Aisha Jackson of Philadelphia, PA, Brent Green of Charlotte, NC, Zoe Jackson of Lawrenceville, GA and Anna Jackson of Houston, TX; great grandchildren, Marquis Robinson, Justin Smith, Samir Robinson, Shykia McBride, Tionna Jackson, Quianni Jackson, Kaiya Jackson, Nia Morton, Isaiah Green, Joshua Green and Anastasia Jackson. She was preceded in death by her parents George Thompson and Florence Mayo Thompson of Boston, MA and one brother Gilbert Thompson of Philadelphia, PA. Carolyn was born on December 5, 1936, in Philadelphia, PA to George and Florence Thompson. She graduated from Carver High School in 1954 and was the class valedictorian. She married Harold Luther Robinson, her high school sweetheart, in 1954. The couple welcomed four children into their home and Carolyn set about teaching them how to be well mannered, respectable children. Her children remember her as a kind mother who always studied her bible and preached Jehovah's word. Carolyn was an amazing cook and often hosted dinner parties for family and friends. She was an active and dedicated Jehovah's Witness for over 40 years and enjoyed field service and bible study. Carolyn was passionate about her faith and wanted nothing more than to experience everlasting life. A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00pm on Saturday, August 26 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses located at 681 Morrow Rd. Forest Park, GA. Brother Tyler will officiate the ceremony.
