Charlene Smith Reece, age 77, of Jonesboro, passed away on February 19, 2026.
She was born on June 5, 1948 in Trion, GA, to the late Charles M. and Ola Mae McGriff Smith. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Jonesboro. She is survived by her husband; Ray, children; Timothy Ray Reece of Germany, Christopher Ryan (Jessica) Reece of Alabama, grandchildren; Ashley, Alyssa, Zoe, Zachary, Joshua, Elizabeth, Kaitlyn, Kristen, Bonnie, great grandchildren; Madison and Landon. A Funeral Service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, February 28, 2026 in the Chapel of First Baptist Church of Jonesboro. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 PM till 2:00 PM at the church. Rev. Allen Davis and Pastor Glenn Stringham will officiate. The interment will be 10:30 on Monday, March 2, 2026 at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.
