Mr. Charles Hugh Camp, age 97 of Cumming, formerly of Jonesboro passed away December 17, 2022. Mr. Camp was retired from Bell South, a member of First Baptist Church Jonesboro for over 70 years, and was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during WWII. He was preceded in death by his parents: Will T. and Letcher (West) Camp, sister: Doris Camp (Hugh) Edwards, brother: William (Ruth) Camp, wife: Lois Blocker Camp, son: Hugh Timothy (Joyce) Camp and son-in-law: Robert "Bobby" Chancellor. He is survived by his daughter: Susan Camp Chancellor, grandsons: Chad (Jennifer) Chancellor, Tim (Erin) Camp and Will (Brandy) Camp, granddaughters: Heather Chancellor, Jill (Mickey) Vazquez, Tonya Camp (Paul) Barnett, Kimberly Camp (Evan) Vaughn, Mary Camp (Barry) Attleman. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2022 in the Chapel of First Baptist Church Jonesboro with Rev. Allen Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Jonesboro City Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at the funeral home.
