Mr. Clarance Clyde Cato Jr, age 85 of Riverdale passed away Wednesday July 26, 2023. Mr. Cato was a member of Harvest Baptist Tabernacle in Jonesboro, Ga. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarance and Elizabeth Cato; brother; Andrew "Andy" Cato and daughter, Tonya Lynn Cato. He is survived by his wife; Sandra Cato, children; Elizabeth Ann Arnold of Newnan, Shelley C. Weldon of Cullman, Alabama, Richard Paul Cato (Bonnie) of Concord, Ga, brother; Karl Cato (Ruby) of South Carolina, sister-in-law Linda Cato of South Carolina, sisters; Dot Barnhill of New York, Katherine Albrecht of Tennessee, grand children; Stephanie Underwood (Trey), Ryan Arnold, Jennifer Hayes (Eric), Nathan Weldon (Patricia), Joshua Weldon (Katie), Alyssa Cato, Kennedy Cato, Dillon Cato, great grandchildren; Ada Underwood, Quade Underwood, Brody Hayes, Allie Hayes, Alaina Kate Weldon, Lillie Beth Weldon, Fallon Grace Weldon, Dray Weldon, Layla Weldon and extended family. A funeral service will be held at 12 PM Friday, July 28, 2023 in the chapel of Ford-Stewart
Funeral Home with Dr. Joe Arthur officiating. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Sherwood Memorial Park in Jonesboro, Georgia.
