Cleo "Buddy" Craven, 81, of Jonesboro, passed away on April 3, 2023.  He was born and raised in Ridgely, TN, where he lived until joining the U.S. Army.  He served 26 years,retiring as a 1SG.  He was a member of Jonesboro First United Methodist Church.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Ozell Craven and Florence Craven, and a nephew, Brandon Dudley.  He is survived by his loving wife, Donna; sisters, Martha Christianand Judy (Wallace) Dudley both of Ridgely; niece, Rhonda Hoekstra; nephews, Kirt Quick and Gary Dudley; great-nephews, Stephen Dudley, Logan Dudley, Jacob Hutcheson, Jon Hutcheson, and Kyler Quick; and great-niece, Kaitlyn Hester.  A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at Jonesboro First United Methodist Church.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church.  Interment will be at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.  In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Jonesboro First United Methodist Church, 142 South Main Street, Jonesboro, GA 30236.
