CW4 Ret. Jerry A. McRee, age 74, of Jonesboro, passed away, November 24, 2012. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Jonesboro and he retired from the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife; Beverly, son and daughter in law; Kevin and Pamela McRee of Yorktown, VA, daughter; Tammy Gail Spriggs of Wichita, KS, sisters; Ruth (Robert) Yates of KY, Joy Jackson of TN, 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held, Thursday, November 29, 2012 at 11 AM in the chapel of First Baptist Church of Jonesboro. Reverend Irvin Pearre and Brother Buddy Norton will officiate. Mr. McRee will lie in state one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
