Mr. Darrel Franklin Rutherford, Sr., 86 of Stockbridge passed away January 30, 2020. Mr. Rutherford served in the U. S. Air Force, a Registered Architect and he built "Lighthouses for The Lord." In his retirement years he was a very active member of the Hidden Valley Senior Center and a founding member of "The Three Old Men." He is preceded in death by his parents: Clyde and Myrtle Rutherford and grandson: James Shannon DePope. Surviving are his wife of 65 years: Edith Rutherford, daughters: Donna Blakley and husband Chuck of McDonough, Diana Doyal and fiance' Ricky Hammontree of Locust Grove, and son: Darrell Franklin Rutherford, II of McDonough, brother: Ivan Rutherford and wife Bennie Jo of N.C., grandchildren: Kenneth Tab (Michelle) Doyal, Katrina Nicole Rutherford, Rachel Allison Harwell and great grandchild: Kaileigh Alivia Miller. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at the Chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Crews officiating. Interment will be at 2 p.m. at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA. The family will receive friends 6 p.m.-8 p.m. Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at the funeral home.
