Mr. David Doughty, age 96 of Jonesboro passed away October 7, 2017. He was a member of Morrow First United Methodist Church, and was also a member of the Hump Pilots Association. Mr. Doughty is survived by his wife: Sara Doughty, daughter: Barbara D. Johnson and husband Neil of Newnan, grandchildren: Jeffrey Johnson, Jill Chastain and Julie Sheffield, great-granddaughter: Ella Sheffield, and several nieces, nephews and extended family. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 10, 2017 in the Chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home with Rev. Luis Ortiz officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Methodist Church Cemetery in Hampton, GA. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations to Morrow First United Methodist Church, 5985 Jonesboro Rd., Morrow, GA 30260. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 10, 2017 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home.
