Obituary

Deborah "Debbie" Webber Creecy, 74, of Jonesboro, Georgia, passed away peacefully at home on May 23, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on December 17, 1950, in Atlanta, Debbie was the daughter of Bill and Virginia (Schwearing) Webber. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents and her brother, Ronald Webber. She is survived by her devoted husband of 51 years, Stanley W. Creecy, her cherished children, Sean Creecy and Kristen Ramsey, and her adored grandchildren, Collin Creecy and Jewel, Jasmine, and June Ramsey, who were the absolute lights of her life. Debbie's life was filled with adventure, creativity, and deep love. Debbie was a proud graduate of Georgia State University, where she was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority. She began her professional life as a teacher, sharing her skills in typing and shorthand, before dedicating several years to raising her children as a stay-at-home mom. Later, she fulfilled her lifelong dream of working in the airline industry, holding roles with Southwest, Northwest, and Delta Airlines. Certified as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Debbie made lasting contributions in human resources and customer service. A true artist and musician, Debbie played clarinet with Tara Winds and brought beauty into the world through her vibrant paintings, which she proudly sold at local art festivals. She had a zest for life-rollerblading with joy, basking in the sun at the beach, and always seeking out her next travel adventure. Flying was her passion, and she never missed a chance to soar to a new destination. Debbie's faith was a guiding force in her life. She was a lifelong church member, first at Mountain View Baptist Church and later at Jonesboro First Baptist Church. Her love for her family was boundless, and she never parted from them without saying, "Love you to the moon and back."
Her spirit, warmth, and laughter will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
