Mr. Donald "Smokie" Roberts, age 71 of Riverdale passed away June 17, 2020. Mr. Roberts was a retired Lieutenant  with the Clayton County Fire Department with 30 years of service.  He is survived by his wife of 51 years: Donna Roberts, daughters: Michelle (Billy) Pildner of Locust Grove and Brandy (Armando) Rowlands of McDonough, brother: Earl (Pat) Roberts of Register, GA., sister: Bernice Barrow of Richmond, KY, grandchildren: Bethany "Scooter" Pildner, Meagan "Meg-Meg" Pildner, Tanner "J.T" Rowlands and Kendall "Boo" Rowlands, several nieces, nephews and extended family members. A Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 20, 2020 in the Chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home. The family will receive friends 2 p.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Donald "Smokie" Roberts.
