Mrs. Doris Thurmon, age 81 of Jonesboro passed away April 14, 2015. Surviving are her husband; Don Thurmon, daughters; Donna Jean Morris and husband Al, Diana Victoria Purcell and husband Ray, and Dorinda Elaine Smith, son; Daniel Leslie Thurmon, brother; John William Long and wife Donna, 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 19, 2015, 3 p.m. at First Christian Church of Jonesboro with Pastor Wade Hall officiating. She will lie in state from 2-3 p.m. at the church. Interment will be at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA. The family will receive friends Saturday, April 18, 2015, 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
