Mrs. Dorothy Rosalee McAllister, age 90, passed away, May 14, 2012. She was born April 16, 1922 to the late; Robert Ernest David Faulkner and Ethel Estelle Morgan Faulkner. Mrs. McAllister was preceded in death by two sisters; Lillian Faulker whom died as a child, Margie Monroe who passed away at the age of 90. She was preceded in death also by her husband; Samuel Crawford McAllister, Sr. She was a housewife and a dedicated shopper. Mrs. McAllister had a great love of music as she played the piano by ear and sang on the WSB radio station. She won the Senior Idol competition at The Palms At Lake Spivey. She is survived by her children and their spouses; Samuel C., Jr. and Linda McAllister of Dacula, Delane and Bob Lewis of Big Canoe, Bill and Mary McAllister of Stockbridge, half-siblings; Juanita Simpson, Mary Jo Sanders, Sammy Faulkner, Judy Roden, Charles Faulkner, 6 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held, Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at 2 PM in the chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home. Pastor Chandler Holland will officiate. Interment will be at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30-2 PM the day of the service at the funeral home.
