Mrs. Dorothy Mae Palmer, age 92, of Jonesboro, passed away on October 30, 2016. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Jonesboro. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jeptha Ross Palmer, Sr.; siblings, Betty Tench and Bill Pitts. She is survived by her children, Linda (David) Kovaleski of Fayetteville, Rhonda (Dan) Cathy of Fayetteville, Pam (Scott) Mayo of Newnan, Jep (Dixie) Palmer of Jonesboro; siblings, Phillip (Katie) Pitts of Demorest, Marie (Howard) Allen of Demorest; 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11AM on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Jonesboro Chapel. Mrs. Palmer will lie in state one hour prior to the service at the church. Rev. Irvin Pearre will officiate. Interment will be at Jonesboro City Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
