Mr. Dwight K. Ginn age 86 of Lake City passed away August 4, 2022. Mr. Ginn was an active member of First Baptist Church Jonesboro for over 20 years.  He worked and managed The Varsity from 1952-1972, and he was a City Council Member in Lake City for 17 years. He owned and operated G & G Salvage for 30 years. He is survived by his loving wife: Gale Ginn; children: Sonja (Jeff) Reeves of McDonough, Katherine Warren of Pensacola, FL, and Stephanie (Jonathan) Brown of McDonough; brother: Thomas (Judy) Ginn of Statham; sister: Jean Parham of Elberton; grandchildren: Philip (Kristen) LaVigne, J.T. (Jessica) Brown, Caleb (Mary Margaret) LaVigne, and Conner Brown; great grandchildren: Jonathan and Baylor Brown and Rhodes LaVigne and many nieces, nephews and extended family. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, August 6, 2022 in the Chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home with Rev. Allen Davis and Minster Lanson Newsome officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens in Forest Park. The family will receive friends from 10-11 AM before the service at the funeral home.
