Mr. Edward L. "Eddie" Winegar, 63 of Jonesboro, formerly of Oak Ridge, TN passed away Thursday, April 18, 2019 at Hope Memory Care in Fayetteville. He was born October 7, 1955 in Oak Ridge, TN, the son of Clyde C. Winegar and Emma Ruth Gray Winegar. He graduated from North Clayton High School in Riverdale and had lived in Oak Ridge, Riverdale and Jonesboro. Eddie owned and operated a commercial construction company and afterward, went into management for Goodman Decorating Company as Vice-President of Operations. He was an avid University of Tennessee fan. He enjoyed hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains, fishing, motorcycle riding for pleasure and charity work with the Moo Cow Bikers. He had an impeccably strong work ethic and drive to succeed, but even stronger was the love he held for his family, and our Lord, Jesus Christ. Eddie was Christian in his beliefs and a servant at heart. Eddie served in the ministries of ushering and greeting. He was a member of Pinecrest Baptist Church in McDonough. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Delores Belk of Ringgold, GA. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Leana Jo Winegar: daughters: Nicole Jett and husband Ken of Clinton, TN. and Mindy Harjo and husband Greg of Edmond, OK; grandchildren, Allison, Kyle, Emilie and Reese. He is also survived by sister Brenda Miller of Ringgold, GA; aunts, Doris Hicks and June Gray both of Kingsport, TN; nieces, nephews, cousins and mother-in-law, Barbara Stanton of Buford. The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 1:30 p.m.-2:30 p.m. with funeral services beginning at 2:30 p.m. at Weatherford Mortuary, Oak Ridge, TN.  Interment will follow at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.
