Mrs. Edith A. Speir, age 81 of Jonesboro passed away January 1, 2015.She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Alice Aaron, daughter, Sandra S. May, brothers, William E. Aaron and Leon F. Aaron, sisters, Christine Hearod and Wilma Aaron. Surviving are her husband; Charley F. Speir, children; Debra C. Blaylock of Riverdale and Cindy L. Burns of Williamson, brother; Howard T. Aaron of Forsyth, grandchildren; Joshua Snyder, Timothy Snyder, Matthew Snyder, Mary Blaylock and Sandra Blaylock, great-grandchildren; Makenzie Snyder, Aden Snyder, Kolton Snyder, Timothy A. Snyder, Jr., Elijah Snyder, and Harmony Snyder, step-great-grandchildren; Beau Martin and Stormy Turner. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 5, 2015, 11 a.m. at the Chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Carter officiating. Interment Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 4, 2015, 3-5 p.m. at the funeral home.
