Edward "Ed" Elliott, age 67, of Riverdale, passed away on June 11, 2025.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Pierce Elliott, and his sister, Reginna Elliott Anderson.
He is survived by his loving mother, Glenna R. Elliott; his brother and sister-in-law, Doug and Yvette Elliott of Rex; and many cherished friends.
Ed was a big-hearted and gentle soul whose loyalty and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. If Ed called you a friend, he meant it for life.
A self-taught guitarist with a deep love for music of all kinds, Ed poured his heart into every song he played. His passion extended beyond performing—he enjoyed traveling to concerts, collecting albums and music memorabilia, and sharing his knowledge with fellow music lovers.
He was an avid reader, a lover of animals, and always ready with a cool magic trick or two. A longtime volunteer at the Clayton County Humane Society, Ed's compassion reached both people and pets alike.
One of his most memorable adventures was a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Rome, Italy, gifted by 96Rock Radio, where he saw the Rolling Stones perform live—an experience he treasured deeply.
