Elizabeth Lynne Grimes, age 88, of Jonesboro, passed away on July 10, 2026. She was born on October 29, 1937 in Meridian, Mississippi to the late John and Sarah Simmons. She is also predeceased by her husband: Paul Grimes and her daughter: Virginia Gielen. She is survived by her children: Paul (Babs) Grimes, Jr. of Sugar Hill, Peggy Diane Grimes Cline of Jonesboro, brother: John Cole Simmons, Jr., of Maryland, grandchildren: Courtney Michelle (Josh) Secrest, Jerred M. Cline and fiancée Marina Daniel, Ginny Carpenter, Leslie Stewart, Sean Bilodeau, Sarah (Trenton) Miller, Taylor Cline, great grandchildren: Cailyn Pyles, Addison Pyles, Evan Secrest, Baylor Miller, Beau Miller, Collyns Carpenter, Cole Carpenter, Robbie Stewart, Ryan Stewart and Rakelle Stewart. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 18, 2026 in the Chapel of Ford Stewart Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM till 11:00 AM prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Sherwood Memorial Park in Jonesboro.
