Mrs. Elizabeth B. Holcomb, age 88 of Jonesboro passed away June 23, 2017. She was a retired teacher with the Clayton Co. Board of Education, a member of First Baptist Church of Jonesboro since 1964 and was preceded in death by her husband: Charles Ed Holcomb and daughter: Laura Barnes. Surviving are her daughters: Marcia Pundsack and husband Jeff of Jonesboro, and Sandra Oglesbee and husband Jerry of McDonough, son-in-law: Butch Barnes, brother: David Bruce and wife Johnnie of TN., sister-in-law: Jean Holcomb of TX, grandchildren: Chad (Aubrey) Oglesbee, Sally Oglesbee (Isaac) Tandy, Charles Oglesbee, Traci Barnes (Jason) McBay and John Barnes, great-grandchildren: Eli Tandy, Henry Tandy, Brynlee McBay, Ellison McBay and Harlin McBay, numerous nieces and nephews, and loving caregivers: Linda Warren and LaToya Warren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 26, 2017 at First Baptist Church Jonesboro Chapel with Dr. Mel Blackaby and Rev. Irvin Pearre officiating. She will lie in state one hour prior to service. Interment will be at Camp Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 4-6 p.m. Sunday, June 25, 2017 at the funeral home.
