Ernest Bedford Pratt, LTCol., USA, (Ret), age 78 of Stockbridge passed away August 28, 2022. Mr. Pratt was a member of First Baptist Church Jonesboro, where he was a member of the Celebration Choir and the Glory Singers. He was preceded in death by his parents: Robert and Annie Katherine (Rice) Pratt and seven siblings. He is survived by his wife: Mary Kistler Gantt Pratt, son: Ernest Gordon (Mary) Pratt of Nokomis, FL., daughter: Laura Pratt ("Carm" Christopher) LaSalle of Chapin, SC, sisters: Lydia Dell Pratt and Linda Nell Pratt, grandchildren: Maura Leigh Pratt, Carm Charles LaSalle and Cole Christopher LaSalle and extended family members. Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, September 8, 2022 at the Chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home with Rev. Lanson Newsome officiating. The family will receive friends 1:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. Thursday, prior to the service. Entombment services with Military Honors will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, September 9, 2022 at Parkhill Cemetery in Columbus, GA.
