Evelyn Lorraine Adamson, age 88, of Stockbridge, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 11, 2025.
Born on August 30, 1936, in Laurel, Mississippi, Evelyn was the daughter of the late Annie Grace Wilson and Ernest Arnold Flynt. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Lyle Flynt.
Evelyn was the beloved wife of Melvin Adamson for 68 years. Together, they raised three children: Michael Warren Adamson of Flovilla, Terrie Lynn Adamson of Youngstown, FL, and Alan Louis Adamson of Stockbridge. She was a devoted grandmother to Shawn Adamson, Steven Almond, Tasha Kemple, Michelle Joiner, Tonya Smith, and Chase Adamson, and cherished by her eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Evelyn was deeply grateful for the care and support she received from her special caregivers, Kenneth and Tasha Kemple, and David Paul and Heather Kemple, along with the compassionate team from Guiding Light Hospice.
In her professional life, Evelyn worked diligently in the insurance public services field before retiring. However, her true passion and devotion were to her family. As a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, Evelyn's heart was always full of love, and she offered a listening ear to those around her. Her family meant the world to her, and she treasured the moments spent together. Evelyn will be forever remembered for her kindness, love, and the joy she brought to all who knew her.
