Mrs. Evelyn V. Smith, age 99 of Jonesboro passed away May 20, 2021.Mrs. Smith was a member of Fairview Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband: Chester E. Smith. She is survived by her children: Howard E. (Peggy) Smith of Barnesville, Linda Joyce Brown of Jonesboro, Lavada Jeanette Webb of Jonesboro and Albert Eugene (Gina) Smith of Waleska, 6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 24, 2021 at the Chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home with Mr. Scott Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 12 p.m. -  2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.  Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org .
