Mrs. Frances "Louise" Mitchell (May 25, 1935 to December 31, 2016) Born in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is preceded in death her parents, Henry and Velva Thompson of Doniphan, MO; brother, Tom Thompson; and husband of 46 years, Elbert Mitchell. She is survived by her son, Mike (Cindy) Mitchell of McDonough, GA; three grandchildren, Rebecca (Nathan) Wood of McDonough, GA; Melissa (Michael) Steele of Littleton, CO; Garret (Lauren) Mitchell of Cumming, GA. Five great-grandchildren, Hannah Wood, Andrew Wood, Grant Steele, Reagan Steele and Mason Mitchell. She is also survived by three brothers, Wayne (Pat) Thompson Festus, MO, Ron (Sue) Thompson of St. Louis, MO, Larry Thompson of Springfield, MO and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Salem Baptist Church. She will lie in state in the church parlor from 11:30-1:00 PM the day of the service. Rev. Dan McKay will officiate. Interment will be at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery.
