Fred McLean, age 83, of Lake City, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 15, 2024.
Fred was preceded in death by his son, Fred McLean Jr., his parents, Mary and George McLean, and his siblings: Charles McLean, Leonard McLean, James McLean, Juanita Bowens, and Elizabeth Greer.
A proud veteran, Fred served in the United States Army. After his military service, he devoted much of his life to a successful career in real estate. Fred was also a dedicated member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
Fred will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Joyce McLean; his children, Theresa "Terye" (Bill) Sununu of Delray Beach, FL, and George (Ashley) McLean of McDonough; his grandchildren, Jessica, Mercedes, Trey, Jordan, Kayleigh, Shawn, Jasmine, and Kendra; and his great-grandchildren, Liberty, Belle, William, Avery, and Harvey.
A memorial service to celebrate Fred's life will be held on Saturday, December 21st, at 2:00 PM at Ford-Stewart Funeral Home, 2047 Hwy 138 SE, Jonesboro, Georgia, 30236.
