George Ralph Kelly, age 88, of Jonesboro, GA, passed away peacefully Friday, January 17, 2014. Ralph was born June 30, 1925, to Elizabeth and George Kelly in Elmore County, AL. Ralph was a member of Philadelphia Presbyterian Church and a 50-year member with Forest Park Masonic Lodge. He was a motorcycle patrolman, retired from Complete Auto Transit and served as a bailiff with the Clayton County Courthouse. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Jannie Kelly, and survived by his sister, Evelyn Headley, his daughters, Marjorie (Doug) Vandiver, Karen (Howard) Nelson, Jan (Bill) Wright and Pam (Bob) Trigiano, nine loving grandchildren, their spouses, one great grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews and many close friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, January 21, 2014, in the chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home, Jonesboro, GA, with interment at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 20, 2014, from 5:00-8:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Philadelphia Presbyterian Church, 351 Morrow Rd.
