Mr. George Arnold Phillips, age 77 of Stockbridge, passed away April 28, 2021 surrounded by his family. Mr. Phillips never met a stranger, his smile always lit up a room and he was always singing. He was a member of St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church. Mr. Phillips was an Educator and Coach for 42 years with the Fulton County and Henry County Boards of Education where he taught and coached at Russell High School, Feldwood High School, Tri-Cities High School, Woodland Middle School and Eagles Landing High School. Mr. Phillips was a graduate of Clemson University where he was a member of the Block C Club and the Clemson football team from 1962-1967. He was preceded in death by his parents: George and Mildred Phillips and nephew: Robert Argy. A very proud Papa, he is survived by his wife of 50 years, Patricia Phillips, daughters: Jane (Scott Reinblatt) Phillips of Atlanta and Kathleen Phillips (Josh) Ingram of Bonaire, GA, sisters: Rebecca (Charles) Argy of Wimauma, FL, Lourena (Robert) Jacobelly of Wimauma, Fl and Mary (Kenny) Jonmaire of Buffalo, NY, grandchildren: Ethan Reinblatt, Chloe Reinblatt, Dillon Reinblatt, Piper Reinblatt, Avery Ingram, Andi Ingram and Millie George Ingram, nieces and nephews: Mike Argy, Renee Sullivan, Mari Dawson, Karen Cobo, Robert Jacobelly, Kate Kubik and Kasey Jonmaire. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 11, 2021 at St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church, 591 Flint River Rd. Jonesboro, GA. A second Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 12, 2021 at the Eagles Landing High School Stadium, 301 Tunis Rd. McDonough, GA 30253
