Mrs. Gertie Lee Gilbert age 77 of Jonesboro passed away January 2, 2019. Mrs. Gilbert was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband: James E. Gilbert; daughters: Vicky Batten (Sam) of Stockbridge and Scarlett Hovda (Jeff) of Woodstock; brother: Rufus Nichols (Joyce) of Conyers; grandchildren: Brittany Batten, Hailey Hovda, and Kaitlyn Hovda; several nieces, nephews and extended family. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, January 5, 2019 in the Chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Reynolds officiating. Burial to follow at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM - 11 AM before the service at the funeral home.
