Gloria Mayse McElhanon, of Jonesboro, passed away November 5, 2013, at the age of 83. Gloria, "Mrs. Mac," is survived by her son and daughter-in-law; Gary and Sharon McElroy of Mobile, AL. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law; Terri and Larry Clevenger of Houston, TX, Donna and Larry Brown of Forsyth, GA, and her sister, Debbie Gros of Castor, LA. Her legacy is continued on through her grandchildren; Michael McElroy, Brandon Clevenger, Ashlyn Shoup, Eric Brown, Dennis Brown, Andrew Clevenger, Laura Tangedahl, and 10 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband; Don McElhanon. "Mrs. Mac" was loved by many children throughout her years working as a dedicated Day Care Director. She received numerous awards through her work with the Muscular Dystrophy Association, and was an active member of Bethel Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home. Interment will be at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends, Friday, November 8, 2013 from 5:00-8:00 PM, and Saturday November 9, 2013 from 11:00 AM-2:00 PM at the funeral home.
