Mr. Gordon David Barnes age 85 of Jonesboro passed away August 20, 2023. Mr. Barnes was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Patricia Louise Barnes. He is survived by his children: Audrey Barnes (Seth) Mellen of Atlanta and David Jon Barnes of Riverdale; grandchildren: Seth Mellen IV, Graham (Caitlin) Mellen, and John Mellen; great grandchildren: Charles Mellen, Daniel Mellen, Elizabeth Mellen, and Meredith Mellen; first cousin: Judith Ann Coffee and several extended family members. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, August 26, 2023 at Crest Lawn Memorial Park in Atlanta. The family will receive friends from 7-8 PM, Friday, August 25, 2023 at the funeral home.
